Equipment fleet management
Equipment management lets you track devices installed at your customers’ sites and link them to your contracts and service jobs. This way, you always know which equipment is where and under what agreement.
Building your equipment inventory
In DoliPlus, equipment management is based on customer records. You register the equipment present at each customer’s site. Plus, a cloning feature speeds up data entry when multiple sites share identical devices. ![]()
This helps you build an accurate inventory, customer by customer. As a result, your technicians go on jobs with the right information.
Adding a device to the equipment of a customer
Open the customer record, then its “Fleet” tab. The same equipment also shows in the “Fleet” tab of every job record for that customer.
- Choose the equipment family — each family has its own form —, then click “New”.
- Fill in the form: the address is already taken from the customer record.
- Click “Add”.
The “Tab mode” / “List mode” button changes the layout: one tab per family, with the number of devices, or a single list. From the record of a device, “Clone” creates a similar one, “Edit” corrects it, and the transfer attaches it to another customer. People allowed to delete can also deactivate a device or delete it.
Note: you cannot add a device to the equipment of a closed customer; DoliPlus then shows “Third party account closed”.
The equipment of all your customers
The Intervention menu, “Fleet” section, “List” entry, gathers the equipment of all your customers in a single list: internal reference, device reference, customer, contract, service, postcode, town and department. Filter on “Active Fleet”, the department or the region, then export the list to Excel or PDF. A click on the internal reference opens the record read-only, a click on the device reference opens it for editing.
Building plans
When plan management is switched on, the “Plans” tab appears in the equipment of the customer. It gathers the annotated plans your technicians draw from the mobile app: the plan of the building, with the location of each device. For each plan, you see its title, its family and its note; you display it full size with “Preview”, you activate or deactivate it, or you delete it after confirmation. Active plans are then inserted into your job documents, through the {Parc-plans_parc} variable of your templates.
Linking equipment to service contracts
Equipment management also connects to your contracts. A dedicated tab lets you associate multiple devices with the same service contract.
This links each piece of equipment to its agreement: warranty, maintenance or subscription. You can then track deadlines per device, not just per customer. Learn more about service contracts
Why track your equipment inventory?
Without structured tracking, equipment quickly becomes hard to trace. Where is a specific device installed? Under what warranty? When does it need servicing? Equipment management answers these questions.
You benefit in three ways:
- Complete traceability: each device is linked to its customer;
- More responsive service: equipment history guides your jobs;
- Better contract management: warranties and maintenance are tracked per device.
