Mobile job management lets you fill out job records on-site, using a smartphone or tablet. This way, your technicians can enter all data directly, even without a network.

Mobile job management with DoliPlusMobi

DoliPlusMobi is a mobile app that works with your DoliPlus software. It simplifies job record entry in the field. With its mobile-friendly interface, technicians can:

  • fill in forms attached to the job record;
  • take photos, with controlled size and quality;
  • collect the customer’s signature;
  • notify the team when data entry is complete, in a collaborative spirit;
  • trigger document generation and archiving on the server.

Additionally, once data is loaded, the app works in “submarine mode” – offline. Your teams can enter data in industrial buildings, cellars, or dead zones, without internet access.

You can also create and modify your own forms, then adapt them to your business. Your forms automatically sync to the mobile device.

How the app works

DoliPlusMobi manages two types of forms from DoliPlus:

  1. Job forms (type F): data remains attached to the job record;
  2. Customer asset forms (type P): data is linked to the customer’s asset. Each equipment family has its own form, tied to a service contract or order.

Each user has a unique ID and specific permissions. Access rights determine which menus and functions are available.

In practice, the technician opens the job menu, then checks the list of scheduled jobs. Refreshing is manual, as soon as a network is detected. At this point, jobs and forms update. If the administrator modified a form, the mobile device receives it immediately.

Collaborating on the same job

Mobile job management also supports teamwork. Multiple technicians can work on the same job record, with multiple forms, across large sites.

With a network, sharing is straightforward. When a form is opened, the server marks the user as the record owner. Then, on each refresh, others see the form locked, with the owner’s name and date.

If there’s an error, the owner can release the record: the form becomes available again. Offline, however, two technicians might start the same entry. The first to reconnect becomes the owner; the other loses their entry on the next sync.

Form statuses

A colour indicates each form’s lifecycle:

  1. green: the form hasn’t been filled yet;
  2. yellow: data entry is in progress;
  3. orange: entry is complete but unsynced due to no network;
  4. blue: entry is complete and synced.

Why switch to mobile job management?

Entering a job on paper, then re-entering it at the office wastes time and creates errors. Mobile job management eliminates double entry.

You benefit in three ways:

  • on-site entry: everything is recorded during the job;
  • offline functionality: dead zones no longer cause delays;
  • collaborative work: multiple technicians share the same record.
